Poor Eric must be pulling out what's left of his hair. I just left a message about the emticons. BTW I mentioned you in that message. Bernd |

Thanks for sorting the flags out, Eric. They seem to be doubled, but that's of no significance. I can't work out if Tim (Spuddevans) has opted to stick with the red cross because he's in Northern Ireland, and it strongly resembles the Cross of St Patrick. Andy |

Andy --- End quote --- Actually I selected to have no flag (I'm not really into the whole displaying a flag thing, I dont mind others havin them though, it's just a little quirk of mine) on Firefox all I see is a "00" instead of a flag, I guess on other browsers you get other symbols. Perhaps I could make a request for a non-flag "flag" to added to the list, maybe just a smiley face or sumthin' ? Tim |

I'm in the queue before you! :poke: Since joining, I have had to put a union flag as there's no Three Legs of Man. Having to use the union flag for my nation as a Manxman is a bit like asking an Aussie or a Canadian to use the union flag. At the time I joined though, Eric did check and said that the flags were part of the BBS software and he couldn't amend them. However, when it comes down to it, I certainly feel that Eric does so much for us here at MM that sailing under a 'flag of convenience' is no great burden! More to the point - whilst we probably agree that MM is a state of mind, maybe there's also a nascent virtual state - so maybe we should be looking for nationhood for MM and when Eric gets a forum logo, we can also use it as our flag of choice! - or maybe just fly :nrocks: cheers / Dave (Isle of Man - which is not part of the UK !!) |
