thanks guys, it was a very pleasing project, just took way longer than I would have liked bug that's just my fault! These are the most complex things I've made so far and probably have turned out the best so I'm happy. Still a long way to go and lots to learn but I feel ready to try an I.c engine next! Sure it will Andrew, the Jerry Howell one looks a really nice design too. Nick |

Always wanted to do a hit & miss and projects take me that long to complete I figure I should do one straight off rather than have to end up building 2 engines! There are too many to choose from, really I need to make one from bar stock as can't afford castings at the mo. Ideally I should design one myself but then there's the risk it won't work!! I like the Tiny I.c that Arv designed on hmem and Gail modified to hit & miss but is it too small and fiddley for my first?! |
