Here is my version of the kwackers RT divider etc, I was fortunate that Steve MR Kwackers helped me out as he had a lot of bits over from builds and was good enough to let me have them I did decide though to change the driver board so it would fit in the case I had decided to use supplied by RS.
I got hold of a XYDrive from eBay a nice neat unit with the newer type of chip (so I have been told) that runs cooler and only needs a small heat sink supplied fitted with it, as the unit was going to be tugged about I decided that a ally plate to hold the plugs may be an idea, the first set up was the normal XLR type and I used a locking phono 4 pin for the power, this when finished I did not like so a flanged nylon part was turned to fit with a slot for the cable.
I mounted the display by laminating some plastic card 2mm and the milling out to take the screen I drilled for the mounting screws and bonded them in I cut the aperture for the screen then glued the mount in , the case look’s nice and smooth without the mounting screws, then re fitted the screen, the slot had been milled for the keyboard so that was fitted then just the wiring, I have some foam to fit around the plug exits yet and am going to convert the RT I have very soon. so thanks to Kwackers I have a nice rt controller ready for the metalwork to be finished and then I will be cutting gears and drilling portholes etc
