Don't know how to get a link into a posting

What are the steps required to get a link into a posting. Up to now I have not needed to do this.

Just highlight the link (click drag)

Copy cntrl C

Now write the message and when you want to place the link Cntrl V and paste it from the clipboard.

I am using internet explorer and just high light the address, right click select copy. Then in the post wherever you want it, right click and paste.

In Internet Explorer, right click the link, choose 'copy shortcut', then in your typing box right click - paste.
