D1-4 Adapter
Swarfing:
Guys
As some of you may know i have a lathe with an A1-4 nose. This has caused a big headache for me and it's time for change. i made an adapter plate for my three jaw and i have lived with just that for months now. The problem is chucks with the right clearance on the scroll for the mounting bolts restricts you lots. Genuine chucks cost more than the lathe itself and out of the question. The plan is to make a new nose to fit over the old one. I should be able to follow the d1-4 standard opening myself up for more options. the point is there is little information about the workings of the d1-4 nose. is there anybody that can help with dimensions so that i can make this adapter?
thanks
Paul

Hi Paul,
This guy here has made them - whether he will give you the dimensions I don't know.
