cutting fluid recommendation
« on: August 13, 2011, 09:03:18 PM »
All right, I have cleaned away swarf with a brush, dripped cutting oil on with a dropper (even an automated dropper) and used a mist system to deliver cutting fluid on my lathe. and mill.

I have always avoided soluble cutting fluids because I have heard that they cause corrosion or gummy build up eventually.

Any recommendations - particularly for coolant action on carbide tooling?

Dave,

Just what I was looking for.  Surprised I didn't run across this before.

Thanks,
