« on: August 24, 2011, 12:05:39 PM »
Hi everyone,

Just got myself started in this new hobby  I am saving up to get a cnc Sherline mill and lathe in the near future. I hope to share and interact with all of you as I take baby steps forward.

:)

Cheers to everyone!

Regards,
tk

Hiya TK

Welcome to the collective :Borg:

Where do your interests lie? What do you want to make when you get your machines?

Eric
Science is fun.

We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.

Hi Eric,

Thanks for the assimilation!

I am planning to make some simple toys for my kids and myself to play with. I am hoping to gradually get them more involved in making stuff with their hands, feet and head (in addition to the keyboard and mouse). I am looking around at some starter projects using wood and later moving on to plastics and metals.

Cheers,
tk

Hi TK, and welcome. You aren't the only Singaporean on here.

And starting with CNC machines - you must be a youngster!

Hi TK,
lived in Singapore in the 70's just off Orchard Road on Jalan Lada Puteh.   What you planning on making with your new cnc setup ?

Hello TK,

I'm the other Singaporean here. I can see that you're rather "busy" after getting your machines 2 days ago.  Have you started your first cut?

This forum is cool with lots of good folks who are willing to jump in and provide you with their advice.

 :nrocks:

I'm just a phone call away if you need help setting up but you must bear in mind that I'm still struggling along.

Regards,
Wong
