I had to make three sets of C spanners for my lathe. The easy option is to cut them out uf a strip of BMS with a hack saw and a file. I suppose you could be really flash and use guage plate if you want to harden them. Quick and dirty. Worked for me. Dave. p.s. HS93, Re things Mozilla. Thunderbird is an Email client, not a web browser. You need Firefox for that. |

Heya all! Um sorry your PC isnt showing the Pics.. not sure on that.. it is likely a configuration issue with the PC itself. I would delve into troubleshooting it but that would require a different thread/forum to cover the pitfalls of IE/Chrome/Firefox and making the three of them play happy on a PC, or not.. The spanners were about 5 minutes from being cut with the plazma torch from a plate of 1/4 inch steel. But the thing is damn heavy at 3' by 4' and I was being lazy as it was something like 436 degrees outside.. so the thought of standing outside in the sun and using the torch to make a plate of steel hotter wasnt appealing. Then there was all the hand filing and grinding. SO yeah.. As my friend Mike says.. Smashing Gnats with a sledge hammer. :hammer: Scott |
