Bernd:
Since I'm to lazy to type in all those "smileys" I'll just say "What they said and double it, from me".  :D

                                     Happy Birthday Stew

Bernd, Oh and here's a rasing a  on your "B-day".

Stilldrillin:
Hope you have a very happy, Landmark Birthday, Stew......

Divided he ad:
Nice!!!.... What's it do?? Make things bigger?

Whatever it does... I'd always try to get it working Stew... it could come in really useful.... Did John want to make it into engines??  :D

I missed your Birthday so belated ...HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! I've been busy with the usual festive stuff.... plus this damn manflu's still got it's teeth in me.... Pulled a muscle in my neck last week coughing!!!

Anyhoo... I digress.... What did you get from your 'birthday santa' then Stew?

So who knows what Johns unusually large prezzie is then....? Has he told us?? (My memory is crap!)

60's not that old anymore apparently? My dad's 61 in Feb' and he's.... Well ok, it's pretty old  :)

Seriously... He's still working his rear off modifying the house, as well as a full time job with 200mile comute every monday and friday!!!  I don't think I could do that at my age!!!!!

Well that's it for this post of mine... Except.... Yes.... Fix it!

Ralph.

Ralph,

John didn't want to turn it into little engines, John has got one of his own that he can do that with.

They are production scopes (Dynascopes), put an item under the lens and it magnifies (variable magnification) it up onto a little screen. The lens has it's own lighting system (the curved bits are fibre optic cables that feed light down to the lens head).

My mate rescued two of them out of a skip at work, surplus to requirements. The damage was caused by the dropping into a skip.

John

Hi Chaps

Thanks for birthday wishes.

As for presies:- got the cash in my shed fund  going to splash out on a new Mill as soon as I can make space, I think it'll be Siege x3 supper been looking at the Wabeco but at nearly twice the cost I don't know if it will be value for money.

As for the scope powered up the screen and it worked OK havn't tried the lighting yet its got funny plugs the type you get on computers I suppose I could wire up ordinary three pins ??.

Have Fun
