Thanks for the comments and advice everyone. I sat and stared at it for a while and decided the best idea will be to cut a slot in it and put a clamp screw on it. |

I am about to talk to the b&@@%y thing now as I toss it way back under the bench! Anchoring the slide with the clamp screw works OK but it is a real challenge to get the cutting tip centred.. :doh: |
