Hi Arnold The box and lid are brass plate The hinge is some brass tube silver solderd on with a stainless welding rod as a pin John |

Hi Time to finish this engine After a couple of hours running i took it apart tonight No wear at all on any of the bearings the cylinder and rings are bedding in nice Machined a recess in the base plate for the reverse eccentric (time to make it go backwards) John |
