HI well i did post sum pics of a steam engine that im on making sumthing on the linse of a stuart No10 H and as regards to the mill i dont have one i yoused one at my last plase of work i number all my engines her is a pic of engine No 10

It's nice to see that you are doing it the long way, by hand.
A lot of us have forgotten that a drill, hacksaw and file can be used instead of a mill. It brings back memories when I had no mill either, but I had a lot of elbow power then.

To answer your earlier question - I've not heard from the engine owner yet, I think it'll be a few weeks yet before he's ready to run it.

HI yep no problem the engine is made up by me no desing as sutsh rufley bast on a stuart turner No 10 horesontel engine the wood on the barrel is to asimualate silinder laging all i did for that is turn up a pece of wood then drilld out the midel cut to lenth then cut it to fit a rawnd the cilinder its not one hole pece but two if you look you may see the joine then its glued on to the cilinder with thermobond its a bit like epoxey but desinde for things that gets hot
