Hi there,

craynerd recommended I drop by here after reading about his Stuart 10v build. So far I have just been reading all the project log threads, and being very impressed! I've got a Unimat 3 without a motor and am undecided if to get a new one or just to sell up and get something bigger - I have been looking at the stuff on Chester/Warco etc., but I am temporarily without a place to put such large machines so it will have to wait until later this year.

In the mean time I was hoping you guys could recommend some reading material for a beginner to machining - other than the build threads here of course!

I'm a web developer, normally found playing with pinball machines, general electronics, and perhaps a bit of airgun shooting and reefkeeping. I have a couple of Lister stationary engines too. :)

If it were me, I would have a hard time waiting until I could get a place for bigger equipment. I would have to fix the Unimat so I had something to use until then.
