Introduction from Wilmington, DE
« on: May 15, 2011, 08:19:10 PM »
Hi Guys. I've been lurking and reading for a day or two and I really like this forum. I have a lathe and a mini mill and have made a few steam engines on other machines in the past. One of which I got to run. I like the fact that this list seems to take on more than just model machining. I tend to be into a little of everything. I am watching the hit and miss compressed air engine with a lot of interest. Hoping for some plans once its finished. I love that idea. I love model engineering but I am not very good at coming up with my own stuff. I need the plans to work from. I'm looking forward to trying a hit and miss gas engine casting kit and making my own boiler for running steam engines. Thanks for having such a great forum and I'll be reading your posts with interest.

Brian

Hiya Brian

Welcome to the collective :borg:

Glad you like the forum! We are pretty much a "make it and mod it" forum... not limited to any one genre.  :nrocks:

Thats what I like about it. I'm don't have a dedication to any one genre. Sometimes I wish I did, I'd get more accomplished. But I enjoy the wide variety of things I can do.

Yup. I am sure quite a few of us feel that way. I definitely would get more done.

I assume you are a Ham?
