sorry nick you are right it is a flame licker.it is a little touchy to get started it needs to warm up good before it will run but then it runs good. had to remake the piston and valve as  they were about .0005 to small on the dia.thanks for the comments. jonesie

Mine too, it will run once warmed for about 10 mins, however, the slightest disturbance of the flame can make it stop on mine! I made 3 pistons / valves before it worked!  :thumbup: Going to try graphite ones when I get around to it as my other flame licker runs great with those.

Thanks John, I had seen Jan's re-design but completely forgot he'd done it too  :doh: - even more reason to go graphite!
