Hello from North Texas
timbertoes:
Howdy;
Have enjoyed lurking for a short while, lots of interesting info and projects here.
I am a "Professional Hobbiest" :beer: Actually my conditon is "OCD Hobbiest" :drool:
Quite brand new to Metalworking, but I aint sceered of taking it on!
Ex-woodworking, ex-game call turning. Still have a closet full of Plastic Model airplane kits.
I dont want to talk about RC airplanes, thats just a nightmare memory of visa bills, epoxy fumes and greasy airframes. :whip:
I have a number of interests. Guns, Little engines that could, seeing your projects and dreaming of doing the same...that kind of thing :beer:
Have thought of getting some metalworking tools for some years.
Then a while back, I got a nice .22 silhoutter action and barrel, that needed a stock.
So the stock got ordered, and of course it will cost oh, about $350 to have it milled to fit the barrel and action.
So instead of paying someone else $350 ("tree-fity") I just spent 15x that and bought a Mill and Lathe....
OCD is an awesome afflication when treated correctly :)
best regards,
bryan
