Howdy; Have enjoyed lurking for a short while, lots of interesting info and projects here. I am a "Professional Hobbiest" Actually my conditon is "OCD Hobbiest" Quite brand new to Metalworking, but I aint sceered of taking it on! Ex-woodworking, ex-game call turning. Still have a closet full of Plastic Model airplane kits. I dont want to talk about RC airplanes, thats just a nightmare memory of visa bills, epoxy fumes and greasy airframes. :whip: I have a number of interests. Guns, Little engines that could, seeing your projects and dreaming of doing the same...that kind of thing  Have thought of getting some metalworking tools for some years. Then a while back, I got a nice .22 silhoutter action and barrel, that needed a stock. So the stock got ordered, and of course it will cost oh, about $350 to have it milled to fit the barrel and action. So instead of paying someone else $350 ("tree-fity") I just spent 15x that and bought a Mill and Lathe.... OCD is an awesome afflication when treated correctly :) best regards, bryan |
