Brass_Machine:
Nice little engine that is for sure. This will be a good project :headbang:

Thats a nice little-un Rob, by the looks of it you could cast some of the parts up (water jacket) if you were of a mind.
Look forward to following the build especially your CNC parts.

Hi Chris ,,,,,,,,,,,, nothing wrong with your engine build mate , your doing a fine job ,,,,,,,, any way get your finger out :whip: :whip: :whip: :)
--- Quote from: Bogstandard on April 25, 2011, 07:30:44 AM ---That really looks to be a nice compact engine to build Rob.
I looked at it a few years ago, then dropped the idea when the Westbury Whippet came along my way. I wish I had done that one instead of the Whippet, as that sits unfinished (but running) on a top shelf.
Keep us well posted.

I will be following closely, as it looks like one I'd like to build too. This should turn out to be a beauty when you're done. Cheers, Jack

The Whippet was a w/cooled SV engine. In those days long ago when I faffed with model boats, I seem to recall one in a large cabin cruiser model.
Also, but not sure, there was a 2-cyl SV w/cooled engine from ETW..
Build a Bentley BR1. You 've got nowt else to do now you've done with decorating ...
Got the book. No chance of doing the engine though ... :(
