Hit n Miss Engine ,,,,to MR D Kerzel's design
Dean W:
At the rate you're going, this is going to be done in your second post, Rob. No grass growing under your feet,
buddy. Looking great so far!
metalmad:
Hi rob
thats sure looking great
on my Kerzel, I made the bobin center wider to get more clearance for the lockout lever (from memory 4mm) so you may find it helpfull when u make the crank to leave it a little long that side,If you dont need it you can cut it off later
mine has only the oiler left to make and at this stage only runs for 5 seconds or so, probably due more to my poor ignition system than anything else.
maybe you will inspire me to get of my bum and get it done
Pete.
sbwhart:
You certainly got stuck into that Rob,
Great set of pics, I knew I'd enjoy this build.

Goodness me Rob, that took off rather quickish, I didn't have time to reply to your question.
Here it is, my Westbury Whippet, still on it's test stand and after having a couple of tanks of fuel thru it (well over an hours almost non stop running). It's a single cylinder, wet sump, water cooled four stroke side valve engine.
And no, at this time I hate the damned thing, the castings were the worst I have ever handled, but maybe later I will come to like it again, and maybe finish it off.
