A great idea shortly to be incorporated into my shop build; thank you.
That expanding foam is really useful stuff. I've used it quite a bit in refurbishing our cottage where a gap filling and adhesive material is a Godsend (not an upright wall or right angle in the joint
) and also for repairing and stabilising wonky wooden flooring in a disabled friends house. The pressure of it's expansion is surprising; if you put a piece of timber against an uneven brick wall and apply the foam, unless you carefully wedge things in place the expansion will simply push the timber way out of position. So you
really will have to weight it down well in your tool drawer.
The one tip I can offer from experience is to strongly recommend that you wear latex gloves and your tattiest old working clobber; it's an absolute b****** to get off skin and you won't remove it from clothing at all.
