Hello
Last year at the Harrogate show I purchased a 1.5mm tipped Parting Off tool from Jenny on the JB Cutting Tool stand with one tip. They had run out of inserts but said if I contacted them they would send me more and have them back in stock very soon. They gave me a number and also the tip number and I was more than happy with that. I contacted them a short while later and they still had no tips but to contact them again very soon. During that period I used the tool and snapped the tip - which I now realise was my mistake for not having the tool setup correctly in the lathe. I put it to one side and whilest tidying my workshop up this evening, I came across it. I thought I`d give it another shot now I figured what I was doing wrong in the first place but of course need more tips. I had an email with the tip details and JB contact information but the works system deleted emails after a number of months if they are unopened!! JB tools don`t seem to have a website so I`m not sure what to do....a quick google search also brings up a few hits of model engineers trying to get in touch.
I`m not at all complaining, the two people on the stand, Jenny and I think her husband? were lovely and it looks a quality tool, it was my ignorance it was breaking, but I`m now after some replacement tips.
Does anyone have contact details for JB cutting tools?
Or does anyone know what insert fits the JB Cutting tool 1.5mm parting tool as sold last year at the 2010 Harrogate show?
Hope someone can help me. I don`t know why, maybe I`m wrong, but I think John Stevenson, do you have one of these tools?
Cheers
Chris
