Seems like I've been working on this one forever! Probably because it's been too cold out in the shed over Winter and now that Spring is here my wife seems to think there's yard work to be done. Add to that my new tractor has been beckoning me away from my hobby. I would have posted this on HMEM as well but Metal Butcher is making me look bad over there with his five-at-a-time Upshur engine builds. Retirement must be nice. Long way to go but looking OK so far. The base is from a plaque they gave me at work thanking me for saving them 35 MILLION bucks....nice. I ripped off the engraved brass plate and got some use out of it. :thumbup: |

Hello Trout, Your Upshur is looking good! I know how you feel with MB making them five at a time and adding things to the design - I'm also making 'only the one' and would bet my pace is slower than yours! I like the brass accents you've added, especially the sleeve at the base of the cylinder between the cooling fins and mounting plate - really adds to the appearance. That one is a little jewel.
