Tony Ramos:
Hi everybody, I'm another newbie to this site. I just got started on my shop. I was building a sand rail, but I got burned out on that. So I sold it and purchased a Little Machine Shop mini lathe and mill. Then came the work benches and all the other ancillary items. I already have a Lincoln mig welder, bandsaw and drill press among all the hand tools. I'm a tool **** as I call myself.
I've done some fabricating and I've worked on race cars for many years. My main goal is to teach myself a few things, make parts and tools. I don't have my own race car because I can't afford to race the way I would like too, so I tune a blown alcohol Pro Mod car.
For a living, I work on milk and juice packaging machines. This takes up most of my time, but it's a good living.

Yup. Sometimes it is much more fun to make the tool to make the jig to make the part. With the 1st part of that statement... it will happen to you. Welcome to our world

Hi Tony!  In which part of the states are you located?  Welcome to the group!

I live in So. Cal. The land of brown and burnt, high taxes, the highest foreclosure rates and gas prices. Gotta love it.

A friend of mine told me once, they have a cure for drugs, they have a cure for cancer, but, there is no cure for racing or tools.
If anybody is interested, here is a link to a run we made recently.

Hi Tony

Welcome to MadModder. Sounds like you have a good start to the shop. The rest will follow you home one piece at a time as you find a need for it. It also looks like you have a very interesting car to tune for the track. I can imagine that it would be a lot cheaper than having your own as they can sometimes be a real money pit. I hope that you enjoy the forum and we look forward to your participation.  :D :D

Cheers

Don
