Just a couple of points about the lidl calipers. Most annoyingly, they don't remember the measured number when they power off, so if you take a measurement and put them down for a minute or two, the measurement is gone forever :(. The other thing that's not quite so good is that they don't turn on when you move them. This may seem trivial, but I have the original type attached to the Y axis of my mill and its a very useful feature to have the display on when the axis moves. They do use the the larger CR2032 batteries as stated earlier. Also treated myself to a set of the cheapy taps with tapping drills, as I broke my tap holder yesterday. Best Regards picclock |
