6 inch shaper
cfellows:
Lovely piece of work. Very nice machine you've put together. Congratulations!
Powder Keg:
Great job there!!! You really did a nice job fabbing the parts up. Your going to have fun running that. Thanks for sharing.
mcruff:
Absolutely awesome job. The machine looks very nice, hope it works as nice as it looks.
Any chance you have cad drawings along with the pdf prints?
Statius:
WOW, i saved the package for future projects, always wanted a shaper.
Wonderfull job, i envy your skill.
Corvus corax:
Very impressive. I saved the metric plans for future reference.
On a related note.
I have always wanted a small hand powered shaper. The small Armstrong types are not common this side of the channel.
I was following a build on another forum, where the guy had started on the old Popular mechanics hand powered Shaper that's plans are all over the net, unfortunately he had to stop due to personal reasons.
Aside from the aforementioned, there doesn't appear to be a current build of the Popular Mechanics version.
For some while I have been thinking about converting the Popular Mechanics plans to metric, but I'm still fighting Sketchup (The closest thing I have to a CAD programme at the moment)
