Which is "GREENER"?

<< < (2/3) > >>

Bernd:
I say the eight wheeler too. Reason, no on board generator. The Volt has a gas generator to help charge the battery.

I'm no green weenie and "A" hole at times maybe. I thought it would be fun to see what people have to say about a question like this. I thought it ironic that something built in the 20's or 30's can be greener.

The other thing I notice when something like this gets mentioned is that they forget were some of their product comes from.

That's it. This subject can be dropped now. I'm sure it could start some controversy between people and cause hard feelings.

I also checked out the Nissan Leaf. Interesting the people they interview to get their sales point across. They have a map of dealers. Seems like they are all in the warmer climates. Seems battries work better in warmer climates. Love to see the test results of one of these after about 5 years in the middle of winter in the northern boarder states.

I just had to slide that gentle reminder in there.     Hope that things are all mending up the way they are supposed to so that you will be in tip top shape for the river in a few months. I am waiting for this white stuff to go away so I can get my RC electric car out and have a bit of fun.  :D

Don,

Things are going very slow on the mend. A few set backs, but meds will take care of that. Biggest thing that irratates me is lack of ambition and how tired I feel.

Hopefuly by this weekend we are supposed to catch some warm days. Supposed to be up to 50 by next thursaday. I'm itchin to get out a bit for a while.

Also spent a bit of money, bought a spindex, center support for the spindex. All Phase II equipment. Got the 35 pieces Lyndex C5 collets and a new American made drill set by Prescion Drill Company. You know the set fractional, letters and numbers. The shiny set. Was close to $800, Enco got it down to a $575. Not bad.
Just got to clean up the parts now and make some boxes to put all those C5 collets. Ofcourse this calles for a C5 collet closer for the lathe.
