Hi Guys

thought I better introduce myself after several months of "lurking".

am a semi-retired business executive, living in North East Victoria (Australia) as well as the sunny Gold Coast - yep communting between these 2 places 1 600km apart.

have been active in serious model building for over 35 years and am the owner of a professional model building company specialising in the manufacture of narrow gauge industrial locomotives in 35th and 24th scale.

personally I model in 35th operating on 16.5mm gauge focussing on European industrial locomotives.   Also build many small live steam stationary engines as a complimentary hobby.

machine line-up includes 3 lathes (Toyo 210, Proxxon 350, Titan TL210V) 3 milling machines (Toyo 210, Proxxon 400 and a Sieg SX2) together with a broad range of specialist tools to suit my production line-up.  All contained in a custom built studio.

hope to be able to contribute to the discussions when suitable projects come along and time permits

have fun

Bernard

Welcome to the collective :borg:

Wow... sounds like you have a lot of cool stuff. Would love to see pictures of your studio.

Oh, oh. Bernard eh? Hope you don't go be Bernie for short, because that's my name except it's spelled Bernd.

All right got that out of the way.

Welcome to the collective.  :borg:

I'm into model railroading, but seemed to have settled into home shop maching. All part of model railroading.

Nice pic's of your engine. We like pics.  :ddb:  :nrocks:  :ddb:

Bernd

Almost forgot to ask, what scale-gauge is the nice little engine in? Looks larger than "O".
