Freezin for a reason...
« on: January 03, 2011, 11:10:43 AM »
Once again, it is that time of year for me. I am doing the Polar Plunge to benefit the Special Olympics.

I am trying to gather a team - Mad Polar Bears... having trouble getting people to join in. If anyone here is in the PA/NJ area and wants to do this, let me know!

You can also sponsor us HERE

Last year was a blast. You can read about it HERE

Eric,

I don't use credit cards, so I can't sponsor you online, but if you can let me have your paypal payment details, I will surely donate to you personally a few bucks for you to send in for a very good cause.

Done Dave.

For some reason, it won't let people out of country make donations on line. The solution, is for me to do a paypal transaction and hand it in on the day of the swim (swim??  :loco:)

Thanks

....... I am trying to gather a team ........"Mad Polar Bears"... having trouble getting people to join in......

Well firstly, if I recall correctly, last year a certain DragonFly said she would be participating next time around.

And secondly :smart: maybe we have a covert (or maybe even virtual) team member under joint development here ? Is this possibly why Bernd has a sudden spurt to get his Radio Controlled styrofoam "rescue" boat completed?  Is it really to rescue other models? or is it to provide power to tow a swimmer? OR has maybe PTsideshow been commissioned to provide a mannequin to sit atop the frame of Bernd's boat to make a virtual swimmer that can be driven from the comfort of the bank?  ::)

Anyway, as its a bit too far to travel will send a PayPal to the same address as last year

cheers / Dave

I have been told that a few times in the past, Ralph. I am looking forward to it again this year. It was a blast last year. For those that donate via Paypal, I will be submitting those donations this weekend... you should be able to see them on-line by Monday.
