Been lurking here for quite some time, thought I'd register and even if I don't have time to contribute, I'll at least get involved with some machine porn :)

Haha yeah, the Parquet flooring is pretty common in Universities in the UK. I've got some 1.5m x 1m x 6mm hardboard fixed in front of each machine now to prolong the decline of the nice polished floor.

Erm, not a bit of swarf in sight anywhere. That shop cannot ever have been used for machining (yet). It's way too neat!
Seriously, that comes very close to my idea of a dream shop. Very nice - except the floor, as everyone else has already noted. I'd be too scared to damage it, to do almost anything with the machines there! And the idea of dropping something heavy and pointy (or even blunt) to that floor...
Thanks for posting. Now I know what to do when (hehe, IF...) I win it big in Euromillions!
