A Gismo ??? If it has a flywheel or spins and is made with small parts. I'll take one! If it makes noise, moves, or requires frequent oiling and dusting it's a better deal yet. It's especially right if its shiny and bright; but if it's dirty and dull it wont mater at all...

Ray, excellent work. Have you ever made a fountain pen or are they all ball points?

Hey Ray,

A project just reared it's head for me. Could you take some more pictures of the folder? or direct me to where I can buy the plans?

Hi Eric  , i made the folder years ago cant find the notes on it, i have taken some more photos below,
and have included some measurments off the folder ,

Cutting list

U CHANNEL   5" X 3"

STAND TOP PLATE  L 10 1/4" - W 3 1/8" - T 3/8"

FOLDER PLATES 2 OFF
FIRST  L  9 14/16" - W 2" - T 3/8"
SECOND  L 10 10/16" - W 2" - T 3/8"

TOP BLOCK  L 9 14/16" X 1" SQ

CAMS  6/8" DAI - L 1" DRILLED OFF CENTRE

TOP BLOCK SPACERS  6/8" DAI - L 5/8"

HANDLE  L 8" - 8mm" DAI SILVER STEEL

You can omit the stand if you like and mount the folder onto a length of angle

Hi Bernd and Eric, Thank you for your comments,

Bernd, the eccentrics are used to ajust  the top bar to allow for the bend on different thicknesses of the metal,
The holes in the top bar are drilled a little oversized to allow for movement,

Really nice work!

A small folder That doesnt take up a lot of room would be super handy and open up a whole lot of possibilities.

Love the tapping stand too.
