Most engineers (me included) are old duffers and hoarders. Natural wastage means in a typical club they drop off at the rate of a couple a year and have workshops that need disposing of - plus some just sell stuff because they realise they'll never get round to it.
I've picked up two sets of Stuart No 4 castings and a set of No 8 castings (which I've just completed) for £50 each.
I've also got a set of Stuart Major castings - which I'm saving for when "I'm good" and I missed out on a set of 'Twin Victoria' castings because the guy wanted the outrageous sum of £100 (spent too long thinking about it!).
None had been started, one of the No 4's had been bought in the early 70's and was missing the cylinder cover casting.
My lathe, mill and a fair chunk of tooling have been picked up from ex-members too - it's all in my care now until the next guy comes along...

Looking good though scrapman, perhaps Chris will actually get a move on and finish his now...
