That's pretty cool!!
Now try and find out how it was done! :coffee:
Ralph.
Jonny:
Sure is cool just think of the amount of work involved with that jointing.
Wouldnt want to know the price either.
tumutbound:
Made by DB Fletcher in the UK.
According to their website, only a few are made to order each year.
An exact price isn't given but states "the price for each is dependent on the materials and cost of the construction, which is generally in the tens-of-thousands of pounds"
There's also some information about the original inventor Robert Jupe

Eeek! Probably fair given the work, but prety steep just to eat you fish & chips off!
It also states ".... Astonishingly it remains truly circular in the process..." I can't believe that is strictly true. If the rim is circular at the smaller size, the radius of curvature at the outer edge cannot still be circular when moved outwards. I think the infil panels are 'appropriately' curved to match up, but the result at the larger size cannot be precisely a circle - not in engineering terms anyway.
Pretty looking bit of furniture mind for all that
Richard
