Not an important post, but a happy one. My 3.5 year old has discovered Lego and likes it. This makes for a happy dad! Just had to tell some people who would appreciate that. My co-workers looked at me funny when I told them...

I think that it is an important post and am glad that you shared it with us.

I guess that Dad will be playing with Lego even more now. Then you won't have enough pieces to build what you wanted. Buy some more Lego. Do you see a pattern developing here. Have fun and enjoy, you only get one go-round.  :lol: :lol: :lol:

A great discovery for your little one, hours of constructive play, that mum and dad can join in with.

We took our two to Denmark Lego land many years ago and it a holiday we all have fond memories off, I can remember sitting in the technic lego hall, with a German dad on my left and a Japanese dad on my right we we're each trying to build a lego robot, neither of us had a common language, but we managed to communicate through the medium of lego, its great stuff  :thumbup:.

I had perhaps, 60lbs of the stuff that I foolishly sold off to support my car habit when I was 17. I regret it.

Actually, if I remember correctly, aren't John & Mrs Hill dedicated collectors? isn't that why they had that container so full whilst they moved in NZ?

Yes I believe they are. Trains in particular. He has a nice collection. I believe he has a dedicated room...

We do indeed have a dedicated room, unfortunately the room is still cluttered with cartons from the move, but we are getting there, in fact my ute is now loaded with 143 empty cartons to take back to the movers.  It is a very full load even folded down.

I would like some pictures after you get it setup John.  :beer:

I found a ship that I had from 91 or so and gave it to my boy. He found the old catalog and is obsessing about the picture of one of the trains...

I had found RailBricks when doing some research. They have a couple of plans for some Lego trains... I may try my hand at finding some parts and building him one...
