I think I read somewhere that some has used iron weights for a flywheel... hmmm. Have to see if I can remember where that is. Eric |

Isn't the problem with using weights as flywheels, that the weights are generally cast using the scabbiest cheapest cast iron available? Which would potentially mean they'd explode at much lower RPMs than a "good quality cast iron" flywheel of the same size/weight? Of course, this may not be a problem in a slow-speed model engine. |
