anyway Marv, its often known as "Ally Pally" ! - both to locals, and to those who attend exhibitions there. It also became know to a wider audience as it was the location of the first "High Definition" TV transmitter in Britain (pre-WWII when HD was the new 405 line B&W VHF service!) Dave |
