Thanks for the comments. Green was the manufacturers colour for both the mill and lathe. I had a tin of green that was a close match for the lathe so used that on the base. Painted everything else a light colour to make the shop bright. Col |

In looking at that scanned photo of the completed grinding rest (which project interests me strangely), I'm not seeing any way to tilt the table precisely on either axis. :scratch: It surely has a plenitude of tommy bars and knobs, though! :headbang: "If you're turning a knob and carefully adjusting it, you're tweaking it; if you're turning it but looking at the effect, you're twiddling it; but if you're just doing it because turning a knob is fun, you're frobbing it." |
