| Rear tool post Hemingway kits Myford |

Hello. Last month I started to make me a rear tool post. The kit from Hemingway comprehends a casting for the base and all materials needed,besides the parting blades. The casting is good quality,no blowholes or other difficulties. The drawings are easy to read,the instructions are coherent,even for an amateur like me. I changed some dimensions and threads to metric. Didnīt want to spend my money on BSF/BA taps and dies,or imperial reamers. The base casting and the main parts of the turret after some machining. Working on the central mounting bolt. Almost finished The components Underside of the base. The detent for the turret. Unfortunately this ball handle didnīt work out But that one does. The next,slightly delicate thing to do is to mill the recess for the parting blades. Before that,Iīll need some advices from my mentor Peter. Cheers,Ralph |
