Pedant speaking:

In broad terms, multi-cellular life forms are either animals or plants. A snake isn't a plant. Animals come in many flavours, like insects, fishes, reptiles, birds and mammals. Like you, I'm one of the mammal sorts of animal. A snake is a reptile, but they are animals too, even though they aren't warm-blooded like us.

I agree, another interesting fact; a snake is a vegetable if I remember correctly.
