Obviously you got all the gas out before you cut or you won't have posted, right? Or as AdeV said, a flame thrower out the nose. :bugeye:

I think it needs a couple of feet and some arms waving around, too.

how do u cut that with out blowing it up. a real close friend of mine was a certified welder and was working on one of those it blew up killed him and 4 others in the shop.
so ive never touched one of those. they (the fire department) said he did everything right but that it was one of those times where it just happened.

A freind of mine shoots a hole thru his. Then he lets it set a few months before he cuts into them.

Could be your freind didn't wait long enough to get all the gas out. I've done it. I took the valve off then let it sit with the opening down so all the gas drains out. Propane is heavier then air. I wonder if he filled it with water and had a steam explosion.
