Here are some pictures of my doubled up minnie so far. I rolled the front wheels after build a bending roll and brazed in the center ring which was trepaned out of 1/8 plate. The rear wheel is 12" in diameter and was machined from a peice of ALi pipe. Steve |

Nice work mate! I`ve got all the plans and book for the original Minnie and may one day consider building a 2" Minnie .. one day! Keep us updated and it looks good so far. Thanks for the pics and I would welcome any "machining" shots if you get time as you continue with this! Good work... |

nice work  what sort of time frame is this build? |
sbwhart:
Nice build Steve I've built quite a few bits for 1" Minnies:- boiler feed pumps, bypass valves, lubricators and Cylinders, there a very well designed engine though I think the 1" scale is a little small but 2" is a different kettle of fish. Look forward to watching progress Stew |

Looks like you are off to a good start, having built a 1" I'm sure the 2" will be a lot less fiddly to make much like the 2" Fowler I'm doing at the moment. Don't know if you frequent Traction Talk Forum but there are a couple of others there currently building the 2" Minnie and a comple that have completed ones in1" 2", 2 1/2" and 3" so if you have any questions its a good place to ask.
