Tooling Storage

(1/5) > >>

Rob.Wilson:
Hi Lads

A bit warm here at the moment and i could not be be bothered to over heat my one brain cell by thinking , so i thought i would improve the shop a bit and make up some racks/holders for tooling , so things are more to hand , The racks are made from what i had at had lying round the shop ,,,,,,,so thats why things are the size they are ,,,,,, less thinking  ::)
Mostly 3mm plate and 40x40 box .

small stand for the heavier mill stuff ,save's having to bend down and rummage about in a cabinet

A holder for milling tooling , made from a length of "L" section and a bit flat bar welded together

A drill rack for my metric 3MT and 2MT drills and stuff , made from a few lenghts of box and 3mm plate ,,with lots of holes poked in it ,,,,much the same as my IMP MT drill rack

And a rack for my Myford lathe quick change tooling ,,,,,3mm plate with lugs at 45 deg,,,,,,,,,,, need to make another one for me larger quick change tool holder

Anyone got any other tooling storage ideas ?

Cheers Rob

Stonkin work rob - looks great, I need some organisational skills. I wish I could weld.

BUT! I`m really not sure about tidy workshops......

Don`t seem right to me!

Mine`s not been really tidy since I built it....... 38yrs ago!
