Baldrocker:
The easiest repurpose El cheapo drill press to tapping machine. 36v dc geared motor, toroid transformer, 600v bridge rectifer. Belt set slightly loose to avoid snapping taps, on/off, forward/reverse switches, and Bobs your uncle. |

Eric Have'nt got that far yet just using the original chuck. Not too sure how to make a proper tapping head. Must admit ita a pita (that was a genuine typo but it looks good so I'll leave it) trying to get the chuck tight enough. br |

That way you would not have to re-tighten the chuck each time you used a tap. Joe |

Joe I'll give that a go, have to turn down the handle part to fit the drill chuck but I cant see why it wont work. br |
