Well....... Hands up, all those who just knew it wouldn`t be long before I was fiddling with it! ::)
Listening to my vid, you can hear it ticking..... :scratch:
After some 4hrs+ of running, the tick had become a tap. :bang:
Not wanting the tap to become a clonk...... I have bushed the little end bearing to "nil" clearance, rather than the manufacturer`s 1/4mm.
The offset one, on the left.....
I set it up, and ran it in for an hour or so, on my rather cluttered workbench......
I think the job`s a good `un! :thumbup:

Dave, that was the only baggy bearing in the whole engine....... I think the idea was to allow the 6" long rod to align properly with it`s big end.
The pin measured 3.47 and the hole 3.78 (near as.....). When bushed, it aligned ok for me!

All engines are mine. But, the front one is receiving tlc, then it`s off to Bournemouth next week......
