I don't use the desktop much, but I think some progs can be run under a 'XP SP3' mode.

Never used it .. AFAIK

EDIT Probably the RAM makes a lot of difference.

I got a download a few weeks ago, and it went into the W7 64bit Prog Library, on mine, didn't work.

Found out from another electroniccy forum ,I needed summat enabled in the security settings, so the host knew I had 64 bit , and avoided it. Thus putting the download into the W7 32 bit library where it worked ..
