32 bit or 64 bit
Rob.Wilson:
Hi Lads
Quick question ,,,,,,,,,,is there much of a difference between a 32 bit system to a 64 bit system ?
Cheers Rob
Bluechip:
32 bits, or very nearly ...

Perhaps software. I just built a new computer and am using Windows 7 Proffesional. I tried veiwing some U-tube videos and couldn't because of Adobe Flash. I went to get the latest and it told me there wasn't one for Windows 7.
Now I can load and run programs but am a bit dangerous when it comes to the more intricate runnings of a computer.

Sorry, could not resist that one.
Depends why you ask ?
I have a 64 bit W7 on t'other PC, not this laptop, 'an it blows this into the crap ... Vista 32 bit.
EDIT Laptop is 1.6GHz dual core Pentium but only 1Gb memory, Desktop is 2.3GHz Quad core plus 4Gb memory
Other things come into the equation, like proc. speed & memory size.
Beware there are some stuff ( like some PIC applications for eg ) that will not run with 64bit W7
