Finger Plate

(1/3) > >>

Bernd:
Ok, I finally have the finger plate "almost" complete. By almost I mean I still need to knurl the knobs. But that's another project all together.

Now as I said in the Logan Lathe thread in the The Water Cooler. I was stopped short because I couldn't single point a thread do to lathe problems. Here's the thread in case your interested: http://madmodder.net/index.php?topic=2861.0

Anyway here's what Guy's "finger plate" looks like.

Here I've finished the 5/16-18 thread and am checking to see if the lock down nut fits. Perfect fit.

Here are all the parts that make up the finger plate as I did it.

Here are all the parts assembled ready for use.

And here it is in use drilling a hole in a round part.

That's it. Questions will be answered if you have any.

Another useful tool finally done. Now on to the next project. I've discovered if I don't mention what my next project is I will be more likely to work on it and get it done.  :ddb:

That's a very nice finger plate Bernd, much nicer than the couple of rough and ready ones I have knocked together in the past. You will find it very useful.

Nicely done Bernd. That will be a handy little tool to have around. :ddb: :ddb:
Now I have to wonder is he going to finish up one of the other projects or has he got a new project in mind.  I guess time will tell.  :coffee:

Cheers

Bernd:
Tel,

Thanks. It should come in handy for those small model railroading jobs.

Don,

Thanks.

Nice work Bernd. One of the things that is on my list... if work ever lets me breathe!
