Nice job! I like your plastic belt sheild! My belt snapped and flew off last week and I got a wack across the neck with it...I need a shield. Did you make that? Chris |
Space Fan:
Chris, The shield is an afterthought Just for that reason. I'm big on shop safety and that belt is spinning at eye level! I did make this one. It's just three pieces of plexiglass glued together. I was going to bend it but this 1/4" stuff alwaws cracks on me. I'll drill and tap for screws when I get it installed. I was thinking I'd add a top piece if thee was clearance... Barry |
Bernd:
Very nice job on that belt drive. We're going to need a picture of it all mounted on the mill though. :poke: Bernd |

Luckily I had one of these plastic metal lined flexible conduits on hand. It's about half as quiet as before. It works well. It might run in a bit and quieten down a bit more.. I like the mod!
