Gentlemen

This is my very first model that i was inspired by a member here his name is One Rod. My wife saw a similar piece made by this guy and just fell in love with it. So!!!!!!!!! I looked through the shop gathered old trash and got on to tinkering.

The red motor was a fuel supply for a model at some stage I got it in an auction, the exhaust manifold is ¼ soft copper tube, obviously the hood and nose front is 1-½ pipe and fittings, the steering wheel is a ½ brass water valve, the back wheels are mesh gears from an old transmission box I found here on my farm, the front wheels are old rollers that come of an old boat trailer and the axle trim is some brass tubing fittings. The exhaust stack is a brass air blower and the dash with the steering column attached was made from some flat brass plate I acquired.

Gotta say this I have been in a metal / machine shop all my life and never had so much fun as making this. I learned a lot about being artistically creative.

Now that is pretty cool!

Makes me want to start collecting bits and pieces to do the same.

It's amazing what you can find in the odds and sods bin!

Now.... You didn't say...... Did it have the desired effect?  (whatever that was??  :) )

That is a great little creation that you have made from the junk treasure box. It shows what one can do once the creative juices start to flow. I hope that this is only the first of several that we will see.  :ddb: :ddb:

Cheers
