Besides doing some machining projects, I am actually an Electrical Engineer (BSEE and MSEE), so I do enjoy projects/ideas that combine both sides/disciplines, like custom flashlights, or my recently completed 3HP VFD conversion on my knee mill: (starting on post #135) http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=223336&page=5 Or a new multiple voltage regulated driver I am designing - this is my latest board layout: I would be more than happy to create a post to discuss/share/explain flashligt modding/hot-rodding/LED/electronics/best bang for the buck, etc. We now have available single package LED's that push 800-1000 lumens, and one that consumes a constant 9 amps at over 1200 lumens - I don't think even the Borg had anything that powerful :borg: What topics do you think would be more relevant/interest for the folks in this forum? And what would be the right sub-forum to create such a post? Will |
