Is She Tuneful
« on: December 24, 2009, 07:11:24 AM »
Is it just me that thinks my cat sings better than Florence?

Or am I just getting old and grumpy  ............

Very good guys very good

No, this Florence
&NR=1

Being heavily promoted by the BBC in the UK over the last few mths, seems to be on the radio every five min playing this exact version of the song ....

I just can't fathom why
I've listened and listen and I still just don't get it ... yeah sure there is a voice trying to get out and it almost makes it. But someone needs to let go of the other end of the lead and let the voice free.

Or perhaps not ...  :med:

I was just wondering if it was just me cos she sure is popular .... or is it just media hype?

Me thinks she needs to work on increasing her vocabulary, as well...

Thanks Darren, hopefully I can get that image out of my head. With the help of some well placed single malt.

She kind of sounds like our Cher
I wish we could 'turn back time' and forgret she was a singer.

Any time that I become concerned about how we will cope if the balance of my pension goes away, I just think about what drivel I have heard that passes as music or the "art" that I have seen at a display of contemporary art. and my fears vanish.

This is the first time, that I hear that Florence and the machine -thing. Melody is good, and apparently made for list hit.

But when I read first post by Darren, this Florence came to my mind:
